I had an elderly pt, she’s a fall risk and she’s sitting in a chair, in the dark. I poked my head in the room to make sure she was okay and she yelled at me “I’m fine!” I just walked away. A coworker noticed this and told me that I need to be more confident and tell the pt that there’s no need to yell at me and that it’s my responsibility to check on her to make sure she’s not going to fall. This isn’t the first time I had pt’s yell at me. Sometimes I get pts and their families belittle me because of how young I look. It’s annoying and yes it hurts my feelings but I feel like if I say anything it might escalate the situation and I’ll be the one getting in trouble because the hospital I work at is all about pt satisfaction.usps tracking showbox speed test
